This policy describes how GT World Wide LLC, the operator of The Brass Standard, handles personal information when you visit this public website, request information, or use our service. For privacy questions, contact support@thebrassstandard.net.
Information we collect
We collect the information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, organization, and message when you contact us or request access. When you use an account, we also process the information needed to provide and secure the service, including account details and the records you add to it.
How we use information
We use information to respond to requests, provide and improve the service, protect accounts and systems, communicate about your account, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use the public website for advertising or cross-site behavioral tracking.
First-party website measurement
The public website sends limited page-view and signup-start events to our service. When first-party measurement is enabled on the service, it records event counts, approximate unique visitors, normalized page routes, limited source categories, and approximate country-level traffic. Source categories are limited to direct, organic, partner, or unknown; this measurement does not retain full referrers, query parameters, campaign values, or exact page URLs.
The measurement helps us understand public-site use, evaluate page and signup-flow performance, maintain the site, and plan improvements. It is not used for advertising, cross-site tracking, profiling, or decisions about an identified person.
Country is an approximate location derived from the request network address, not precise geolocation. Raw IP addresses are not retained for analytics. To estimate same-day unique visitors, we may use a short-lived pseudonymous token derived on the server with a daily rotating secret; it is not an account identifier and cannot be used as a cross-day or cross-site identifier.
Aggregate traffic measurement is separate from identified account and customer records. Analytics do not include emails, passwords, form values, workspace/customer content, account identifiers, or customer identities. Account and customer information is processed separately when you request access, create an account, or use the service.
Analytics retention
When first-party measurement is enabled, the service keeps short-lived daily deduplication tokens and hourly and daily aggregate counts under its configured retention periods. It does not retain raw analytics event rows. These aggregates are separate from account and customer records.
When information is shared
We may share information with service providers that help us operate the website, communications, hosting, security, and the product. When enabled, our public forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to help prevent automated abuse; Cloudflare processes the challenge response and related technical information to provide that security service. Providers may use information only to provide those services for us. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of The Brass Standard, our users, or others.
Retention and security
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, including operating the service and meeting legal obligations. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Cookies and your choices
The public website does not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, tracking pixels, third-party analytics SDKs, advertising identifiers, or cross-site identifiers. The service may use essential session cookies to keep authenticated accounts secure and functioning, and enabled Cloudflare Turnstile protection may use necessary challenge technologies to protect public forms from abuse.
First-party measurement, when enabled, is cookie-free. The cookie notice only remembers in your browser’s local storage that you dismissed it; the notice does not enable or disable measurement. There are no optional analytics cookies to turn on or off.
Your privacy requests
To ask a question about measurement, make a privacy request, or ask about identified account information, use our support page or email support@thebrassstandard.net. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or information about the personal information we hold about you. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
Updates to this policy
We may update this policy as our service or legal obligations change. We will post updates here and revise the effective date.
